I visited Yuka Mori’s solo exhibition. The exhibition was organized around recent works, with a group of predominantly white works carrying a quiet sense of tension.
The vessel forms were restrained, but had slight variations and distortions, with subtle traces of the hand remaining. Particularly striking were the changes in the glaze tone and the differences in appearance created by the way the works received light.
The space as a whole was minimal, but looking at the individual works showed that it was formed through an accumulation of subtle differences. It was an exhibition that conveyed the accumulation of time within its quietness.
